Over the last century, Turkey has undergone profound changes, taking into account both a change in political culture and civic attitude. This article is devoted to the processes taking place in the way of creating politics in the Republic of Turkey after 2002, especially the assumption of rule by the AKP. This event is known as a historic turning point in the Turkish political arena. The author focused on theoretical and empirical issues related to Turkey’s ofcial policy, as well as changes taking place at the socio-cultural level, noticeable in Turkish society.
