The Territorial Defense Force (TDF) is the youngest branch of the Polish Armed Forces. However, the aggressive Russian policy of recent years has made it necessary to think about defense in broader terms,
including this type of formations in the security strategy. The growing importance of the Baltic Sea in the policy of Poland and the resulting development of the Polish Navy and fleet make it necessary to
tighten cooperation between the formations. In the future, the TDF, as a dynamically developing military formation, could also play a greater role in terms of defending Polish maritime interests. This article indicates some areas of potential cooperation between the Polish Navy and the TDF.
